So today is a drive from San Jose to Santa Barbara to Santa Monica.
There is one slight problem. The “shortest” and allegedly quickest drive to Santa Barbara is down the 101 through a bunch of small towns and turns. This probably means low speed limits.
The other option is to cut over to the I5 south and drive down straight quickly, and cut back over. This adds something like 70 miles. First time i’m divided on each way to go.
Wondering what option other people would choose?
